FAITH TEMPLE/ DISTRICT 7 POLICE / THE GREATER FOOD DEPOSITORY

FOOD GIVE AWAY

“Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down,
and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.”

(Luke 6:38)

OUR GOAL

To serve and distribute food to individuals and families who are in need of basic necessities.

OUR MISSION

To serve God by serving people.

In November of 2016, our pastor, Elder Ronald Blumenberg partnered with District 7 Police Department in their food program which is through the Greater Food Depository. The Food Depository’s motto is “No one should go hungry.” Faith Temple Church agrees that healthy food is a basic need and desires to be a blessing to our immediate community and to greater Englewood area residents.

Every 3rd Thursday of the month, Faith Temple Church, along with District 7 Police Department, volunteers and sacrifices their time by serving. Volunteers do various jobs such as unloading the truck ... bagging the food... packing the boxes with fresh fruits and vegetables or other goods that are available. We thank each volunteer for the gift of their time and the ministry of being a servant.

We have served approximately 127 to over 164 families per month since beginning the program. Many residents live in “food deserts” and do not have access to fresh foods and vegetables.

We thank God for the opportunity to demonstrate His love!
